Our beers

Ægir Brewery produces a selection of fine beers for serving in our pub and for wider distribution in bottles and kegs.

Ægir Brewery opened in 2007 and in a short time has received national and international press and awards. We were named "Brewpub of the year" in 2008 and 2009 for all of Norway.

We make it a priority to always offer many different styles of beer, both on tap in our brewpub and in bottles and kegs. In addition to our year-round offerings we also brew seasonal beers and new varieties.

All year:

-Bøyla Blonde Ale, 4.7%. A very straightforward and approachable beer, but richer in fruity and estery flavors then the Kølsch, and more full in mouthfeel. Recommended with seafood, pizza, and cheeses.

-Ægir India Pale Ale, 6.5%. This deep copper colored beer is made in the American west-coast IPA style, with a captivating hop aroma and flavor. The bitterness is crisp and up-front on the palate, complimenting the balanced maltiness. Recommended with robust or spicy food, but can also be enjoyed by itself.

-Rallar Amber Ale, 4.7%. Deep red in color, this beer includes six different malt types in the grain bill. Flavors hint of caramel, toffee, and chocolate, though the beer is light in mouthfeel for the style. Recommended with grilled foods and cheeses.

-Sumbel Porter, 4,7%. This very dark version of the style is round and velvety in mouthfeel, malty with residual sweetness. We enjoy recommending it in place of coffee with chocolate desserts, though by itself it also accompanies a fireplace and comfortable chair wonderfully!

Seasonal:

- Påskesol! "Easter Sun!" a Munich Helles lager for springtime, 4,7%)
- Brime Red Lager (4,7%))
- Kvase Kølsch (4,7%)
- Witbier (5,5%)
- Altbier (5,5%))
- Saison (6,5%)
- Harvest Ale (6,0%)
- Julebrygg (Raud etikett, 4,7%)
- Julebrygg (Grønn Etikett, 7,0%)
- Natt Imperial Porter (10%)
- Tors Hammer Barleywine (13,2%)
